We r going to have a two weeks event of wood collection from Radha Govinda’s forest. Everyone is welcome to come and help. The whole work will be overseen by Madhava Krshna das and Trilokatma das Prabhus. There is plenty of wood on the island, which is already dried (it may be wet from the rain, but once stored in a woodshed it will dry up very quickly) and almost ready to use. We would like to collect as much as possible to prepare for the winter and thus engage the energy of the forest in the service of Sri Krishna and His devotees. Extatic prasadam and place to sleep provided. If you feel like coming just let us know by calling 028 6772 38 78. We can collect you from Deryllin if you come by bus. Morning program and japa in association of devotees! You can’t find a better offer anywhere, and it is all free! Real retreat! Back to nature, back to Krishna!  You can come for a day or a week or two, whatever, every help is needed and appreciated.

The festival is over now, but not for the devotees who are going to serve Krishna  even more  in their daily lives. Janmastami time is a wonderful occasion to ponder on the wonder of Krishna consciousness and on how fortunate we are to be an ongoing receiver of this divine blessing. Increased chanting and hearing of the glories of the Lord, in the association of such a devoted and sincere follower of Srila Prabhupada as His Holiness Janananda Maharaja gave everyone increased feeling and inspiration to be engaged in the chanting of maha mantra Hare Krishna with greater focus and determination. The aim is to be pleasing to the Lord with both our activities and our prayers as well. We don’t pray for a better material facilities, but for the better attitude in our service to Sri Krishna. Our  Sri Sri Radha Govinda looked so awesome and beautiful, that whoever saw Them, could not but be inspired.

The appearance day of Srila Prabhupada was yet another occasion to glorify His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada for bringing this Krishna consciousness to the West, but not only that. It was also an occasion to remember that he came with a mission, and our joining this movement means joining the mission to assist. And what is that mission? It is to spread the Guaravani, the message of the Golden Avatara, Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the chanting of the holy name and also to dissipate the darkness of impersonalism and voidism. And so we did by going out to Cavan to chant the holy name and to give out some books as well. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

In general, we had wonderful three days of festival full of sunshine, and more than 200 guests came over to present themselves to Krishna and also to see Him. The atmosphere of the festival was great, there were many devotees feeling grateful and prasadam got a lot of praise. I loved the Janmastami cake that was a fruitful piece of art crafted by mataji NGM . I, being engaged in the cooking, have received those “prasadam” thanks, but to be honest, the secret of the wonderful taste of prasadam is in the mood of the devotees cooperating for the pleasure of the Lord, and this is what happened. I heard two devotees telling me, that this was the best prasadam ever… And yes, it was, because we all served together just to please Krishna and His devotees and the bliss of Krishna consciousness is ever increasing anyway… All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Krishna Janmastami is a wonderful opportunity to render service to Krishna and His devotees as well as all other living entities. As we are your servants, we offer our service for free and whoever comes here will be able to get wonderful prasada, hear Krishna katha, engage in Kirtan and also stay with us for the period of these three days.

But of course there are costs to be covered and we will list them below, if you feel happy to help out and offer some of your money, we will greatly appreciate it and you, by doing so, will please Krishna and His devotees, which in itself is a success of life.

You could either donate here on the website, through the Paypal button, transfer to our bank account (details below), or bring it to me during the festival…

• SASTRA DANA (OFFERING TOWARDS FREE BOOK DISTRIBUTION) 10£ / 50£ /100£/ 1000£ / 10 000£ OR MORE! Whoever gets the book starts his/her journey back to Krishna, and the credit goes to YOU! Krishna will always remember you and bring you back to His loving abode!
• DIESEL for ferry -200£ (50-70£ a day if very busy)
• PRASADAM – 500-600 £ or 200£ a day
• Tickets for Maharaja and daksina 500£
• Raja Bhoga offerings 50£ a day (150£ three days)
• other offerings ( 6 more every day) 25£
• Offering towards new outfits for Krishna 1000£ or whatever you can, if more people offer less we will be able to collect, but the cost of a fancy one comes up to 1000£        (we offer 7 new outfits every year, sown with love and devotion by Mahamantra mataji or some of them are bought in India and these are especially expensive)

• It may also be a good occasion to become a patron of Sri Sri Radha Govinda and help to maintain our wonderful seva program of offering of 2555 blissful offerings every year!
