GITA JAYANTI FESTIVAL

Dear devotees

Hare Krishna!

You are most welcome to come and celebrate the divine appearance of Bhagavad Gita, the song of God! See the poster for the schedule! This is yet another great occasion to glorify the Lord, His words and His foremost devotee His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, who came to the West with the pure message of Bhagavad Gita AS IT IS…
It is a very wonderful occasion to also offer Bhagavad Gita to others and save them from the clutches of material existence. thus you could either purchase some of the copies of Bhagavad Gita and offer them to your friends or relatives, or you can sponsor Bhagavad Gita so that we could distribute many of them to others “free of charge” and you can get the spiritual benefit of  pleasing Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the speaker of Bhagavad Gita.

“Anyone,  who tries sincerely to present Bhagavad-gita as it is will advance in devotional activities and reach the pure devotional state of life. As a result of such pure devotion, he is sure to go back home, back to Godhead. ”

The benefits of Vedic Educational Centre – His Holiness Danavir Goswami

Dear Devotees, well wishers and friends.

You are most welcome to come to the island and stay with us during His Holiness’ visit and hear/discuss the benefits of having the Vedic Educational centre, we may update the info on the programs after Maharaja’s coming so check up the website again on Thursday or Friday. Hare Krishna

This is the message of the president of the college, His Holiness Danavir Goswami:

The Rupanuga Vedic College is meant for cultivating the precious commodity which Lord Krishna describes in the Bhagavad-gita:

“In this world, there is nothing so sublime and pure as transcendental knowledge. Such knowledge is the mature fruit of all mysticism. And one who has become accomplished in the practice of devotional service enjoys this knowledge within himself in due course of time.” (4.38)

The RVC is unique in the world in that it offers a pure Vaishnava (Literally “devoted to Vishnu or Krishna”) educational environment with the opportunity to earn Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates of Divinity degrees. RVC also offers Vaisnava devotional titles such as Bhakti-sastri and Bhakti-Vaibhava. Sometimes our founder-spiritual master Srila Prabhupada compared such combinations to a maxim of Vedic logic, andha-pangu-nyaya.

Andha means blind, pangu means lame, and nyaya means logic. A blind man can walk but cannot see, and a lame man see but cannot walk. If the blind man takes the lame man on his shoulder, and the lame man gives him directions as he walks, combined, they can work. But individually neither the blind man nor the lame man can walk successfully. Similarly, the Western system of higher education, although well organized and sophisticated, is blind to spiritual necessity. On the other hand, although Eastern transcendentalism is highly esteemed, alone, it is lame to carry the world forward. As East and West embrace at the Rupanuga Vedic College, the world will become a place of peace and enlightenment.

Expert businessmen invest in burgeoning enterprises, so may we all take advantage of this momentous opportunity to engage our energy in the blissful Rupanuga Vedic College. Although the RVC is still relatively small, many knowledgeable persons feel it offers the finest program in the world for training and learning the science of self-realization.”
