Serving
Srimati Tulasi Devi at Krishna Island
News Updates, and
Plans
The Tulasi house is already complete and houses nine healthy Tulasi plants.

The offering of Tulasi leaves is a very important part of the worship of Radha Govinda.
We would like to turn the area around the Tulasi house into a beautiful garden.

We've already put up a nice fence with an arched entrance to keep out the deer.

The drainage system is finished also. Soon the pathways will be dug and the planting and sowing will begin.
A "Vrnda kund" pond and fountain are also part of the plan.
As it is a place where we can bring Chota Radha Govinda in the Summer time we have built a swing there for
Them.
We already have our 4 ft. figure of Vrnda Devi who will also reside in the Tulasi house as soon as the inside
decoration is complete.
The plan is to offer this garden to Radha Govinda on their birthday this year - celebrated on July 25th.
It will be official opened by our quest of honor Deena Bandhu prabhu who will come to do a three day
festival on July 23rd to 25th.
He developed Vrnda Kund in Vrndavan, India, so we are very honored to have him come to open our Vrnda
Kund.
There is still so much to do and funding is also needed to complete everything, any service done for Tulasi Devi
guarantees one to go back to Krsna, so get involved!

Prabhupada says:
I am very glad to know that you are seriously taking to
Srimati Tulasi Devi worship. Tulasi Devi is a pure devotee of Krishna and she should be treated with the same
respect given to all Krishna's pure devotees.
Simply by worshiping her faithfully, a devotee can get
himself free of from all material miseries. In the Nectar of Devotion I have given two verses from the Skanda
Purana, one of which is: "Tulasi is auspicious in all respects. Simply by seeing, simply by touching, simply by
remembering, simply by praying to, simply by bowing before, simply by hearing about, or simply by sowing the
tree, there is always auspiciousness. Anyone who comes in touch with the Tulasi tree in the above mentioned
ways lives eternally in the Vaikuntha world.''
So from this verse we can understand how pure is the
service which Tulasi offers to Sri Krishna. So we should always endeavour after becoming servant of Tulasi
Devi. (Srila Prabhupada, 1972)
