Dear devotees

Below are the scores of the book distribution efforts.  It is a very wonderful and glorious service and we would like to encourage everyone to join the efforts of spreading the glories of the Holy Name and the  yuga dharma and drop the bombs of the transcendental knowledge so that everyone can get them and change their lives.

I have no personal qualification, but I simply tried to satisfy my guru. That’s all. My Guru Maharaja asked me that “If you get some money, you print books.” So there was a private meeting, talking, some of my important Godbrothers also there. It was in Radha-kunda. So Guru Maharaja was speaking to me that “Since we have got this Bagh Bazaar marble temple, there has been so many dissensions, and everyone thinking who will occupy this room or that room, that room. I wish, therefore, to sell this temple and the marble and print some book.” Yes. So I took up this from his mouth, that he is very fond of books. And he told me personally that “If you get some money, print books.” Therefore I am stressing on this point: “Where is book? Where is book? Where is book?” So kindly help me. This is my request. Print as many books in as many languages and distribute throughout the whole world.

TRANSLATION

The Personality of Godhead assumed the incarnation of Nrsimhadeva in order to vanquish the great fears of the demigods. He killed the king of the demons [Hiranyakasipu], who challenged the Lord with a club in his hand, by placing the demon on His thighs and piercing him with His nails, rolling His eyebrows in anger and showing His fearful teeth and mouth.
PURPORT 
The history of Hiranyakasipu and his great devotee-son Prahlada Maharaja is narrated in the Seventh Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Hiranyakasipu became very powerful by material achievements and thought himself to be immortal by the grace of Brahmaji. Brahmaji declined to award him the benediction of immortality because he himself is not an immortal being. But Hiranyakasipu derived Brahmaji’s benediction in a roundabout way, almost equal to becoming an immortal being. Hiranyakasipu was sure that he would not be killed by any man or demigod or by any kind of known weapon, nor would he die in day or night. The Lord, however, assumed the incarnation of half-man and half-lion, which was beyond the imagination of a materialistic demon like Hiranyakasipu, and thus, keeping pace with the benediction of Brahmaji, the Lord killed him. He killed him on His lap, so that he was killed neither on the land nor on the water nor in the sky. The demon was pierced by Nrsimha’s nails, which were beyond the human weapons imaginable by Hiranyakasipu. The literal meaning of Hiranyakasipu is one who is after gold and soft bedding, the ultimate aim of all materialistic men. Such demonic men, who have no relationship with God, gradually become puffed up by material acquisitions and begin to challenge the authority of the Supreme Lord and torture those who are devotees of the Lord. Prahlada Maharaja happened to be the son of Hiranyakasipu, and because the boy was a great devotee, his father tortured him to the best of his ability. In this extreme situation, the Lord assumed the incarnation of Nrsimhadeva, and just to finish the enemy of the demigods, the Lord killed Hiranyakasipu in a manner beyond the demon’s imagination. Materialistic plans of godless demons are always frustrated by the all-powerful Lord.

We are going to spend the coming weekend fully absorbing ourselves in the service to the Holy Name and the Vaisnavas!!!

TRANSLATION
When Lord Ramacandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, was the King of this world, all bodily and mental suffering, disease, old age, bereavement, lamentation, distress, fear and fatigue were completely absent. There was even no death for those who did not want it.
PURPORT
All these facilities existed because of Lord Ramacandra’s presence as the King of the entire world. A similar situation could be introduced immediately, even in this age called Kali, the worst of all ages. It is said, kali-kale nama-rupe krsna-avatara: Krsna descends in this Kali-yuga in the form of His holy name — Hare Krsna, Hare Rama. If we chant offenselessly, Rama and Krsna are still present in this age. The kingdom of Rama was immensely popular and beneficial, and the spreading of this Hare Krsna movement can immediately introduce a similar situation, even in this Kali-yuga.

Very, very soon the Lord is giving us chance to chant and focus our minds and heart on Him more… As the Gaura Purnima festival is approaching we are all in ecstasy awaiting this most wonderful of all events. It is due to Lord Chaitanya that Srila Prabhupada has come to give the Holy Name to the whole world! And it was Srila Prabhupada, who along with the name, gave us the opportunity to observe this most wonderful festival of Gaura Purnima… So all are welcome to come and the more of you come the more bliss we will all feel being fully absorbed in chanting and dancing for Krishna…. Below is the schedule for the two days of the festival but we encourage devotees to come and stay over the period of four days, we will chant and hear more together and sink into the mood of oceanic love of God.

Tomorrow is a very important day, in which His divine Grace Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati desired to appear and bless this mortal world with his divine presence. It is by His special mercy that this Krishna consciousness movement has spread all over the world as our beloved Srila Prabhupada took the message of Bhaktisiddhanta so seriously and preached the glories of Sri Caitanya cult all over  to reclaim all the fallen souls back home back to Godhead. We are going to celebrate the appearance day of Lord Nityananda on the 5th of Ferbruary and it is going to be very extatic. If you understand who is Lord Nityananda you will know why… Just read what Srila Prabhupada told us about Him… And come in a very happy mood to serve the Lord and enter the realm of Saranagati (complete surrender in Love) to the lotus feet of the Lord!

“If you are actually serious about going back to home, back to Godhead, then please seek after the mercy of Nityananda.

Ahankare…
nitaiyer koruna habe, braja radha-krsna pabe,
dharo nitai-carana du’khani
“Please catch up the lotus feet of Nityananda.” Then he says, nitaiyer carana satya. One may think that as we catch hold of so many shelter, but in this material world later on they prove false, similarly, suppose we catch hold of the lotus feet of Nityananda; it may also prove false. But Narottama dasa Thakura assures that nitaiyer carana satya: “It is not false. Because Nityananda is eternal, His lotus feet is also eternal.” Tanhara sevaka nitya. And anyone who takes to the service of Nityananda, they also become eternal. Without being eternal, nobody can serve the eternal. That is the Vedic injunction. Without becoming Brahman, one cannot approach the Supreme Brahman. Just like without being fire, nobody can enter into the fire. Without being water, nobody can enter into the water. Similarly, without being fully spiritualized, nobody can enter into the spiritual kingdom. So nitaiyer carana satya. If you catch nitaiyer, the lotus feet of Nityananda, then you become immediately spiritualized. Just like if you touch electricity, immediately you become electrified. That is natural. Similarly, Nityananda is eternal happiness, if you touch Nityananda some way or other, then you become also eternally happy. Tanhara sevaka nitya. Therefore one who has in contact with Nityananda, they have become eternal.
nitaiyer carana satya, tanhara sevaka nitya,
drdha kori’ dharo nitair pay
So just catch Him very tightly. Narottama boro duhkhi, nitai more koro sukhi. At the last Narottama dasa Thakura, the composer of this song, he is appealing to Nityananda, “My dear Lord, I am very unhappy. So You please make me happy. And You kindly keep me in corner of Your lotus feet.”"

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

We would like to thank all well-wishers and the devotees for their kind offerings towards meeting our winter struggles. By Krishna’s grace the winter has not been too severe so far and our service to Their Lordships is going on smoothly. We still have few months to go before spring fully manifests it’s gentle nature, we welcome and appreciate your support. It helps us not only to survive the winter but also in preaching the glories of the Lord and bringing Krishna consciousness to others. So far we have  used more than 10 tones of wood to keep the temple and the ashram residents  warm and it was possible with the contributions from these kind souls:
